Team Gunnebo

Chris Wheeler
Operations Director - Benicia, CA
I’ve been the VP of Operations here at Gunnebo Entrance Control Inc. since 2006. Previously I worked within Gunnebo’s Entrance Control division in the UK, beginning with Production Assembly and Logistics, all the way to running the Benicia Factory here in California. My working life has sent me to America, Canada, UK, France, and Italy, providing the opportunity to understand different cultures and market places. I have seen turnstile technology advance significantly since I began in 1997 and with connectivity available in today’s world, more innovation is on the horizon.
When I’m not making the world a safer place (Gunnebo’s mission statement), I love playing soccer and cycling. I’m husband to a wonderfully understanding wife, and an avid sports fan. The Bay Area teams may not be the best, but we do have our Warriors to fall back on!
Dave Keppie
Production Manager - Benicia, CA
I have been with Gunnebo for nearly 30 years, starting in the UK as a production operative then moving on to become a field service/installation engineer. I have worked in numerous places over Europe for Gunnebo, including a long spell at our Italian production facility. I advanced to production manager for our UK facility, then to my current role as production manager for our US facility in Benicia, California.
I am married with two children, and my family and I like to spend time in the outdoors, fishing and camping.

Tim Sakellariou
Technical Manager - Benicia, CA
I’ve been with Gunnebo since 2005, and have over 30 years of technical experience in electronic systems. Prior to Gunnebo, I was with Sony Electronics for 9 years working for the Information Technology division as a Software Engineer, and before that I was a Network Engineer for Electronic Data Systems. A proud Veteran, I specialized in Damage Control Systems for the US Navy. When I'm not at Gunnebo, I'm probably working on my house.

Alberto Andrade
Technical Support - Seattle, WA
I began my Gunnebo career working on the shop floor, assembling and testing turnstiles. 6 months later I was promoted to a field service engineer. My background as a traffic electrician helps me to provide support to our customers and understand the product. I understand the importance of good customer service, and I aim to provide the best technical support to our integrators and end-users.

Pierre Sandoval
Technical Support - Washington, D.C.
I have been working as a Gunnebo field technician since 2011. Based in the Washington, D.C. metro area, I travel throughout the Southeastern United States to provide support for a full scope of entrance control equipment. I love to travel, and my work with Gunnebo has brought me to many new places, both domestic and international. I will soon be providing support to our US Airport Division, in addition to our speed gates and other entrance control lines.
I'm a big animal lover, dogs in particular--though I do have room left in my heart for friends and family as well!

Dave Nielsen
Technical Support - NY, NY
I have worked at Gunnebo since 2015 supporting the Northeast Region as a Field Service Engineer. I have been working in the security and safety sector for 30 years, gaining a wealth of experience in commercial, fire, and electronic security. This background has allowed me to transition seamlessly into access and entrance control equipment to ensure services promised and rendered were surpass customer expectations.
When I’m not traveling throughout the Northeast US to provide technical support for Gunnebo, I relax with family at home in Connecticut or enjoy the East Coast scenic roads on my motorcycle.

Marc Bender
Sales Director - NY, NY
I joined the security industry shortly after the tragic events of September 11th, 2001 as the adoption of security technologies in the commercial office building environment was expanding at a rapid rate. After three years of experience at a Manhattan based security systems integrator, I joined Gunnebo in 2004 as Regional Sales Manager for the Northeast US. In 2013, my role was expanded to Sales Director and now includes overall responsibilities for supporting and developing our Entrance Control Sales Team across the US. I experience an enormous amount of pride and satisfaction taking part in the successful design, installation, and delivery of our systems into the most iconic buildings and high profile real estate development projects across the country.
When I’m not doing my part to keep our valued customer sites safe and secure, I’m either cooking for my family, coaching youth soccer and basketball, cycling, or golfing (whenever the busy schedule of family life allows me to sneak in 18 holes).

Jamie Allard
Regional Sales Manager - Washington, D.C.
I joined Gunnebo Entrance Control in 2006 to manage all sales and marketing related activity in the Mid Atlantic-Southeast Regions. Over the last 12 years, I've supported integrators, consultants, architects, and end users achieve their entrance control agenda. Based in Washington, DC, I have completed hundreds of projects across multiple markets such as government, Fortune 100, higher education, and mass transit, and the one thing consistent is our collective approach to safeguarding facilities and people. I enjoy supporting and delivering tangible products and services that are at the core of facility security and that make a difference day in and day out.
Outside of the workplace, you can find me chasing around my four kids, donating my time to coaching and charitable organizations and “wheeling” around the hockey rink still trying to live the dream.

Tom Volpe
Regional Sales Manager - Chicago, IL
Gunnebo Regional Sales Manager based in the western suburbs of Chicago, IL. United States Marine Corps veteran and high voltage electrician. I’ve been with Gunnebo nearly 14 years and have been directly involved with hundreds of successful turnstile deployments. Starting in 2005 as a Field Engineer and moving to sales in 2014, I have experience in both the technical and sales sides of the company. I'm loyal, unwavering, and dedicated to customer service and quality products.
My passion is my family. I am the luckiest husband ever to have met my wife of 23 years on a blind date. We have two high-honors college-enrolled sons pursuing their graduate degrees. We enjoy leisure time at home, water-skiing, and fishing.

Doug Lenzo
Regional Sales Manager - San Francisco, CA
I joined Gunnebo Entrance Control in early 2016 as our Western US Sales Manager. Prior to coming on-board, I worked for a leading national door hardware company for 6 years, rounding out a decade of experience in the Security Industry. When not I'm not at trade shows or hosting ‘Lunch and Learns, I'm traveling to each major area of the great Western region to meet with customers and ensure their needs are met.
On the weekends my wife and I love to hike the surrounding SF mountains, taking in the beach, camping, or somehow enjoying the wonders of the great outdoors. We anxiously await the arrival of our first born later this year.

Tom Lally
Regional Sales Manager - NY, NY
I have been in the Electronic Security industry for over 18 years, with extensive experience designing complex security systems. I am a team player, with exceptional new business development skills. Most of my experience has been on the product manufacturing side of the business : working in the megapixel surveillance camera, video analytic, and access control verticals, supporting the East Coast or Northeast regions. I am well-connected with security integrators, consultants, A&E Firms, and end users, on all levels.
When I am not securing high-profile skyscrapers in the big cities, I spend my free time with my wife, dog, friends and family. I’m a big sports fan, and enjoy playing golf and taking my friends' money in Fantasy Football!

Cody St. John
Regional Sales Manager - Austin, TX
I teamed up with Gunnebo after rising through the ranks of SDM Magazine’s Top Ranked Security Integrator of the Year. My wide range of security experience includes entrance controls, enterprise access control, network video, advanced solutions, intrusion detection, perimeter defense, and cyber security technology. Combining a rigorous customer-centric approach with a relationship-driven business development strategy, I'm passionate about building lifelong relationships among world class clients, end users, and security practitioners.
Outside of work, I enjoy backpacking, fishing, mountain biking, & scouting. I'm the proud father of two young children and the husband of a beautiful Southern California girl who was crazy enough to fall in love with a man from Texas!

Marcie Palmer

Originally from Michigan, I've called California's Bay Area home for the past 8 years. Outside of the office, you can find me on the soccer field or cycling in the Bay Area’s beautiful hills.
